Health Services & HIV Testing (HTS)
May 4, 2025
For many in Muldersdrift, access to healthcare is not just difficult — it’s nearly impossible. That’s why Tshepo Ya Bana takes health services directly to the people. Our mobile outreach teams set up community gazebos, creating safe spaces where residents can access HIV testing, TB and STI screening, blood pressure checks, glucose monitoring, pregnancy testing, and even Covid-19 screening.
But we don’t stop at testing. Our staff provide referrals to local health facilities, distribute male and female condoms and lubricants, and share IEC materials (information, education, and communication) to raise awareness about prevention. By removing barriers to healthcare, we empower individuals to know their status, make informed choices, and protect their families.
At Tshepo Ya Bana, HIV testing is not just about results — it’s about restoring dignity, offering hope, and building healthier futures. Our HTS programme walks with every person through the journey:
Before the test we listen, counsel, and prepare hearts with compassion.
During testing we provide safe, simple, and confidential services.
After the test we stand by each person with care, guidance, and next steps.
For those who need it most, we connect them immediately to treatment, support, and a community that embraces them.
Our mission is to catch HIV early, stop the spread, fight stigma, and let every person know: you are not alone.
